    what a joke

We had a perfect track to race on saturday but we only had 40 total entries.I am starting to think this is a waste of time trying to put these races together.I mean we only have 1 race a month and the schedule has been out for a long time it looks like people could make plans to attend. I know fuel prices are high right now but if put a post on the forum i bet you can find someone to ride with to split fuel.I promise if the the attendence don't pick up soon the series will end.

Well Ricky, you know I'll be there. Even if it means not riding until Noah's like i did before Bremen.

    Re: what a joke

I have to say I was really surprised at the turnout as well. Bremen may have been one of the best tracks (for me) that Ive been on in a while. So really it is too bad that we didnt have enough riders. Maybe some folks just couldnt get out of work or had Fathers day plans. So maybe we should try this from a diffrent angle. I for one, simply come here (to the forum) to find out whats going on or updates etc. But, I have not been doing my part in telling other riders that I see or know about our races. I know that there has to be PLENTY of ATVers ready to race that we havent reached (in at least 2 states I might ad) . So heres what Im going to do and I challenge all others to do the same thing. Starting today I am going to print several flyers, like 15-20 or more. Every time I visit my local ATV/Motorcycle dealer I will ask if its OK to leave a flyer to put up. Everytime I go to Durhamtown I will make sure one is posted there if its Ok. Not only that, I will have one to give to the ATV riders I see when I  go down there to ride. Guys, this is a good series. Its perfect for us weekend racers and great for the pro guys to get some good seat time as well. The ball is rolling here so I would hate to see it run out of steam. Now, Im challengin anyone else here that wants to race and continue to see us allowed at mx tracks to do the same thing. Print some flyers today. Keep them in your car or truck. All those with a myspace page. Post it there if possible. We all have ATV buddies that log on to see our pics so let them know where they too can come race. Its going to take more than just a few folks to promote this series. It will take alot of us. Im guilty of not telling others but not after today. Also if you plan to join me in this effort (which I hope some of you do) Make sure you print good quality color flyers. Dealerships and riding areas are more likely to put up nice looking flyers than one that looks like you spilled a coke on or ran out of ink. So make the ones you take to be posted the best ones and maybe just black and white for ones to hand out to buddies. If you cant print any, call me and ill mail you some (770) 540-0645. Its that important to me. Now, next race is in Alabama at Noahs. All you guys around there need to let the locals know. Get the word out anyway you can. Start tomorrow if possible. For all those who have work that requres Saturdays. Ask off now. Dont wait. Be prepared. Lets get things rolling again. Gas prices holding you back. Lets try riding together. I will be glad to split cost and drive or ride. Im in Gainesville, GA. Let me know if I can team up with someone. So there it is. I hope I can get someone on board with me. Lets see a good turnout from now on.

    Thank you,

    Re: what a joke

great weather , perfect track conditions , I dont understand where the riders are. I will bet 20% (8) of the 40 that showed were the local bremen riders that showed up to support the race. How many members do we have ? I am going to keep spreading the word and inviting the kids, and support every race that we have , but I understand these numbers do not add up for success. If you have a few thousand in a quad , will 50$ in gas really detour you from driving to a race? Thanks to the guys that keep working so hard to put the series on , I do appreciate the oppurtunity race .

    Re: what a joke

Also to Ricky or Ken..if possible I think it might be a good idea to possibly update the website to make it more appealing to visitors. Maybe take off the old 06 and 07 stuff add pictures update points or appoint someone to do that. If anyone has some pictures to send (especially those taken at an SEQuads event) Some things might could even be deleted all together. But just a small update might work too...just a thought that I wanted tio add.

    Re: what a joke

Whenever I get my scooter back together, I'll be at every one that isn't on a weekend I've got to work.  Being on call at work is a big part of my job, so I can't get out of it very often.  If they found out I got out of it to go to a 4 wheeler race, I'd be in deep doody.

    Re: what a joke

Ricky made a good point yesterday. There were more new riders and riders that come to an SEQuad race every once and a while than there were "regulars". Most of our "every race last year" riders were not there. We would have had a good turnout with the 40 entries plus the missing "regulars". So here is the bottom line, there is basically two months till Noah's. That is enough time to: Ask off work, save money, find a ride and split gas, whatever. I did not ride for almost two months so i could make Bremen. Yeah, i feel like crap today but i made it. Rode two classes as usual to help entry numbers .Everyone better listen to what Ricky said. I bet if we don't have at least 80 plus at Noah's then SEQuads is done for. I'll be surprised if Bremen lets us have our season ending race there. The tracks aren't going to continue to let us throw their dirt around if its hitting THEM in the face. I'm not ready to go woods racing or flat tracking yet, so lets show up at the MX races or thats the only local racing quads will have.

    Re: what a joke

hey i no the turn out has been a problem i love racing and the gas crisis has hurt my racing the past two years so what i have been doing is getting some racers i get along with and taking turns driving to some of theis races.  I no we had a bad turn out Saturday but i had a lot off fun racing the 30+ class I'm the one on the red 250r. We are talking about the next race though we are planing on calling the track owner to see if we can practice the day before the race or rent the track the day before the race i hate to ride 5-7 hrs and not get  track time. But i do agree on the web site looks good but i like pics like you did 2 years ago.
If you cant put up with the pain you might as well get out tha game

If you're talking about Noah's MX, then trust me it's a fun track.  It's probably my favorite track.  I can post some pics from Noah's from about 9 months ago if you want.  I would do it tonight, but I've got to be up and at work in about 6 hours so I'm going to bed.

    Re: what a joke

Well just to update anyone whos intrested. I followed through today. I left a flyer at a local shop (I have 3 more to visit close by tomorrow) and I mailed a flyer to 36 other atv dealers in GA and AL today along with a really nice (professional) letter explaining our series and inviting the atv riders in their area to join us for the next one. If you know of a place I can mail one of these flyers and letters to (that I havent all ready sent one to) let me know who and the address and Ill take care of it. I hope to at least hit 50 atv dealers / shops this week. Hopefully we can get some new riders to the next races (and some of the guys who all ready know about us too) So like I said before if everyone can talk to/leave a flyer with their local shop someone is bound to intrested. Ill keep you all posted on my efforts the rest of the week.

Also to the guys who are in charge of SEQuads, I didnt really ask anyone about doing this so I hope it was all right to send out flyers and ask others to do so too. I am doing the mailing on my own dime just to see if it will bring up attendance. Also I will be glad to help or work with whoever (volontarily of course) to do anything else that I can to help out. Just let me know.

    Thanks again,
