    Website Idea

This is gonna be alot but READ IT.From experince with working with people,i know they respond to feeling like they are a part of something. This is my idea to get more racers to the races.   The quad magazines have posters of quads with models in them and everyone i know tears them out.Why dont we do that for SEQ riders at races.Charge like 20 bucks. It would be a professional pic of your quad with or without a model.  We go to track days, which is street bike racing. There is always a photographer taking random pic's of the racers, then they can look at them and choose to buy.   We could also make calenders using pic's of SEQ riders and sell them.Maybe include like a "rider of the year","most improved rider","best save","most dirty quad", group pic.ect.you get the idea. But that would make people feel included.  Maybe we could plan a cookout at the beginning of the 09 season,so everyone could get to meet everyone, exchange numbers for carpooling. If anyone knows a photographer that would do it for free (at first) all the proceeds could go to SEQ.   Also, updating the website cant hurt.Uploading new pic's,making it more user friendly. For example...i still cant figure out how to get a pic on the forum.I've got a friend that will do it cheap, but if someone knows someone who would do it for free, that would be better,so if it dosent pay off, no one loses money.Ofcourse these are just ideas.Feel free to change or remove anything you guys dont think will work.So what do you guys think?

    Re: Website Idea

Well if this series lasts till next season we sure have a hell of alot of input and ideas that have POTENTIAL if put into motion. I can tell the staff and members are getting upset, distraught, angry, ect... with the lack of turnouts. The economys been sh#% this year, gas prices have rose, and sales are down, its putting a pinch on everyone. I wont spare any excuses on my end, the simple fact is I havent had the money to travel. Bremens 5 minutes from me, so without question I support their series every chance I get. I'd rather get to ride 4 times a month than save up for one race a month, allbeit I do miss all the friends I made through Sequads. This series has the outreach and could grow into something big if allowed to. I mean look at the florida series, its huge and we've been around longer than it has. You have riders from Mississippi comiting to next season! Lets get on the ball and bring this series back. I'll take all the criticism you throw at me because at the end of the day, all of our asses are on the line and arguing gets us absolutely nowhere.

    End Rant

    Re: Website Idea

I plan on being a part of the SEQuads staff next year. I don't think i would be out of line saying that all suggestions are welcomed. Some we can end up using some not. I think we have a few more who want to step up and help Ricky and Ronnie out. Hopefully we will sit down soon and start a game plan. I also don't think i am out of line saying if WE don't get our act together for good turnouts at the last races, there may not be a SEQuads. I keep reminding everybody of that but it seems like i'm pi**ing into the wind while ice skating uphill. There was a group of us in 2005(before we knew about SEQuads) that got together and went to a bunch of GA series races(bike). We had 5-10 quads at every race. But you know what happens when there is one(or two) quad class at a bike race. You are the red headed step child and it SUCKS. I salute those who support Bremen's Moto Madness series, as it helps SEQuads position with the Kelly's. We CANNOT afford to lose anymore tracks that will let us attend. If this continues as is, all we will have left is the option to rent a track for a day. Of course that money is required up front and to be honest i wouldn't want to be stuck holding the tab when none of ya show up. I'm probably gonna stir up a hornets nest with this one but by my count this weekend we got more support from Georgia riders,South Carolina riders, and Alabama riders (my gang) that live close to the Chattahoochie. If it weren't for the Gulf series guys the race would have been a flop. Where are all those north Alabama guys who used to be the core of SEQuads? Where are all those riders who i see in National results?(nationals are over) Call me at 706-570-2521 and tell me.

    Rant just gettin' started!!

    Re: Website Idea

allso if we can get some of us to help out with hole shot awards or something like that, that will help out alot, im in. pick up some extra oil, hand grips, jersey, gloves, googles, tearoffs, from now till next year and there will be a pill of stuff to give away. you have to give to receive.

    Re: Website Idea

For two or three seasons we gave away a complete set of Holeshot tires at each race to the racer who got the holeshot in a randomly picked class. These give-aways are great ideas but it did'nt increase our rider base one bit. We will be giving away some stuff at the end of the season along with the awards. Last year some riders did'nt even come to get their awards or free stuff. I am not trying to discourage anybody but we have done all of this before. I am going to see what we can do about updating the website if I can get in touch with the guy who designed it. I,m game for anything to get more riders but we need something to draw new people. We have been racing for 7 years and we will probably be in it until we can,t race anymore. Alot of guys that we used to race with have quit for one reason or another and we have got to replace these racers to suceed. Ricky and Ken and I are not in this for anything else  but to have a series to race in. We will see what happens. Ronnie

We can bring the Camera to the next race and shoot some hi-res up to date photos and forward them to anyone that can make web changes.

    Re: Website Idea

i raced a few of those races and if i can recall there were more racers then than there is now. how do we know if these things work or not, atv manufactors do a survey to find out what people like and dislike about there product, until you crunch the numbers you can only speculate.

    Re: Website Idea

I guess what we are doing right now will help us figure out what racers want. The SEQ guys need feedback from everyone.Riders opinions.Whats the main reason quads are not showing up at races? I would guess its due to gas prices and the traveling, so thats when you carpool.I mean everyone likes everyone...rite.You all joined the same series and forum. over 1,000 members

    Re: Website Idea photography

I have a friend that is a photographer. I have talked to her and she is willing to shoot for SEquads.  It will cost $300 for the first day and $200 for each additional day. This is for Photography and Video . We will have to get the money up front and to her befor race day she will shoot all day. If the photos and video dont turn out all money will be REFUNDED.    I need to know what you think

Is it time to ride yet !!!

    Re: Changes to web

JUst wanted to touch base with all of you. I am asking Ken for help to get the points updated from the last two races LAMX and BROADRIVER MX so that once I start changing things around I do not take the chance of losing the CURRENT POINT STANDINGS this I will save on a word document just as back up. THis program is a good one but not as user friendly as the ones we are use to using. Ken we need your HELP!
