    Re: what a joke

Jimmy I think its awesome that your taking the iniative to promote this series. I think we can all take a page out of this guys book. If we keep this up I dont see why we couldnt get over 80 riders at noahs, possibly even 100. If Gas keeps itself at bay it will help alot. But like Ricky said find you a buddy and split gas, itd be much easier on everyone.

Jimmy, when my printer gets fixed ill hit up local shops, until then I have nothing to do. I have a short list of shops though...

     Cycle works of carrollton,ga

    Freewheeling Honda of douglasville, ga

metro cycles of lithia springs, ga

    Bama power sports of anniston,al

well thats all I can think of off the top of my head...

    Re: what a joke

I am a computor idiot , but if someone is capable and willing to update the site , I can provide pics , hi res - hi quality. My wife is a photo nut with a prof camera , she comes to every race and shoots pics. We cant Expect Ricky and Ken and Ronnie and the others to do all of the work , so if we could all pitch in and help out with whatever you are good at , maybe we can revive this sport and series . I will personally deliver copies of the flyers to the bike shops in Auburn and Opelika tommorow. I would really like to see this series continue and to grow.

    Re: what a joke

Hey Blake Thanks for the list. Some of those got one sent today the others on your list ill send out tomorrow. Also I was telling you that I would like to come to Breman next Saturday race (2 weeks I think) Well im definately planning on being at that one for sure. I will bring a few flyers for you then if you need since your printers on the blink. (if your racing that night) So again thanks for the list.

Also turbo, thats exactly what I was saying. Its possible that its alot for just a few guys to have to do so thats why I have made this suggestion and decided to do a little promoting. I own a business and I know how much time it takes and how much advertising it takes to get something rolling. Not to mention it can get a bit overwelming. So maybe you and your wife could do some work with the photos on the website. I think it wouldnt hurt to do a little bit of web "sprucing up" And I sent a flyer to a dealer in Opelika but not sure which one. I did not send any to Auburn though

    Re: what a joke

I hope all this work works out for you guys. I know what you are going through. I busted my rearend at the beginning of summer to put out fliers and even had a few billboards made and it didn't do any good. We've only had a handful at a time show up to race and it's pretty pathetic.

We have plenty of shorttrackers out there but they have a track close to them and want to stay there, and be a 1 track wonder I recon. People here in Alabama just don't have the passion to race anymore for some reason, that's why I go out of town to Georgia & Florida to race. There was 80 shorttrack quads in Florida a few weeks ago & I was blown away by their turnout.Cool

Just don't know why we can't get racers to commit to shorttrack racing and now it seems to be filtering onto the MX scene.[:'(]

Hope you guys get a good turnout.Wink

    Re: what a joke

THIS RACING SERIES COULD BE CALLED THE NSQS! "NO SHOW QUAD SERIES". YOU GUYS THAT ARE NOT SHOWING UP BECAUSE YOUR SAVING MONEY FOR THE NATIONALS IS A JOKE. YOU DONT GET ANYTHING AT THE NATIONALS ANY BETTER THAN THESE RACES AND IT COST TWICE AS MUCH. SURE THE NATS ARE COMPETITIVE, BUT IF WE HAD 15 TO 20 QUADS PER CLASS OURS WOULD BE TOO! LIKE  91 SAID POOR TURNOUTS ARE GOING TO BE THE END OF OUR SERIES. THIS WEBSITE HAS OVER 700 MEMBERS AND WE CAN'T GET A 100 AT THE TRACK! GIVE ME A BREAK.

THANKS TO QUINN MOTORSPORTS,CONCEPT GRAPHICS, & DON IVESTER!

    Re: what a joke

Hey Blake I got a flyer to the shops you listed last night.

Holeshot...you say 700 members? I was not aware of that. I wonder if there is a way to send a mass email reminder/invitation some way to these members maybe 2 weeks and then again 1 week prior to each race. Website person: is that a possibility? I beleive that probably many of the 700 may not be able to or into racing anymore. The rest must need some motivation. We just need to figure out what thier motivation is. Otherwise, I think we still need to target some new riders to the series. When I began riding again just 2 years ago, I had no idea about the series until Norris Quinn gave me a flyer and there I was starting to think about racing again (I raced in my younger days) Next thing I know, I made it to my first race with SEQuads. So lets just go ahead and focus on the race ahead and get the word out to as many people as we can.

    Re: what a joke

The ONLY reason we have missed any races is because my son injured his knee in March at Calhoun. He was ordered by his Dr. to stay off his ATV for 3 months. He should get released at the end of this month and then we will be at every SE quads race. I would welcome anybody from the metro Atlanta area to ride with us and split fuel. At the far away races, we take a 30ft camper that can sleep 6, so if anyone needs a place to sleep let me know. My son says if  his Dr releases him in a couple of weeks, he is going to practice for about a month before racing again so we should be at the August race. We have missed it and are looking forward to getting back.
